Apps: Angry Birds review.

So, recently I have been playing a lot of angry birds, I have completed it and I'm now trying to do it all on 3 starts, here is my review:

What is it: It is a game where you catapult different birds at structures with green pigs inside and try and kill them, different birds do different things.

The Different types of birds: there are 6 different types of birds in parts 1-3 but then in part 4 there are new birds but as only the first part of part 4 is out I won't go into that.

regular birds: red and not very powerful, completely average.
Splitter birds: blue and when you tap on the screen they split into 3, they are perfect for destroying ice.
Speed birds: yellow and when you tap they go very fast, perfect for destroying wood.
bomber birds: white and when you tap they go up sharply and are very powerful but the pain point is that they drop and egg bomb, perfect for killing pigs if you aim well.
Explosive birds: black and either when you tap again or a while after they touch some thing they go BOOM!!! Excellent for blowing up pretty much anything.
Boomerang birds: when you tap again they come right back at you. Great for getting out of reach places but need some skill for best results.

Overall the game is very addictive and a superb buy for 59p it is often the top game in the app store a must buy for any game fan.

Introductions/Game review: New author and review of Wii resort.

Hi, Jacob here. We will be having a new author on the blog going by the name of Andy. He is:

. Wii Wizard.
. Music guy (joining the rest of us)
. Gadgets (like toy sort of ones. Robo Sapien anyone)

Now to give you and idea of his style he will do a guest review on this post. take it away Andy:

Hi, this is Andy
Wii resort is the newest ediditon to the wii game family. Like all the other specific wii games such as wii sports wii play etc, you use your miis that you have already created to play fun family games. It is based on a tropical island and is like your on an extreme sports holiday. The wii motion plus accessory gives a completely different edge to the game because of how sensitive it is. The games are: Canoeing, this a great active game which you can do in either in single player or multiplayer modes. Table tennis is just like the wii play version except it is much more accurate due to the motion plus. Bowling is way better than the old version as you can customise your bowls. Air Sports Personally I think air sports is the best part about the game you can do sky dives where the objective is to link up with as many people you can before you release the parachute, you can also do island flyovers trying tofind hidden places you can unlock things.Archery isn't that good. Power cruising but could of done with a different aspect to it, Golf is great if you liked the wii sports version you will love this, swordplay is good witha variety of modes to play. cycling isnt the best but is all right once in a while, basketball is rubbish as you can't do what you want all the time. Wake boarding is very fun and can be addictive.
Overal I give Wii Sports Resort 8.5/10

Game review: Fire Emblem: Radiant dawn on wii.

Hi, Jacob here. Time for my first review.

Fire Emblem radiant dawn (FERD) is one of my favorite games. I love laying it.

Style: overhead strategy battle, grid based, combat driven, computer calculated combat.

General: It is an overhead turn based strategy game played on a grid. You can move your very powerful guys to kill the enemy weaker (but theres more of them) a set number of squares depending on what they are mounted on. When in combat then it goes onto some very good graphic screens where you see the two people fight.

Pros: Good graphics, great re-playability, an in battle save feature on easy and medium settings, awesome story and lots of different styles of play throughout the game.

Cons: Does not use the wii interactive stuff, may not appeal to some people because it is turn based and not real time.

Conclusion: I love this game and I would seriously recommend it to you.

Rating: 9/10

Thanks for reading,

Jacob out.
